EXPOSING THE LIES AND DECEPTIONS OF ARMANDO ANG PART III

EXPOSING THE LIES AND DECEPTIONS OF ARMANDO ANG
PART III
Marwil N. Llasos, O.P.

Because the Blessed Virgin Mary is emblematic of Catholicism, anti-Catholic writer Armando Ang expectedly begins his book “The Dark Side of Catholicism” with a blistering and vicious attack on the Blessed Mother – or what he thinks Catholics believe about Mary.
"The Dark Side of Catholicism" reveals the dark side of Armando Ang
At the very start of Chapter 1 of his polemical book, Armando Ang concludes that the “veneration of Mary has gone beyond her natural attributes and borders on the divine.”[1] Ang does not elaborate on how he arrived at that conclusion. Instead, he proffered his opinion: “I do not think Mary would have liked what popes have done with her name.”[2] What did the popes precisely do with Mary’s name? Armando Ang does not say. All throughout his book, Ang almost invariably falls to this style: Make a conclusion, support it with an opinion, leave it there hanging, and move on to the next point. In sum, Ang’s book is long on allegations but short on proof.
The Popes belong to the generations of Catholics who call Mary's name "blessed"
In Chapter 1 of The Dark Side of Catholicism, Ang betrays his ignorance of Sacred Scripture. Without batting an eyelash, Ang dogmatically asserts that “[n]one of her [Mary’s] contemporaries, especially the disciples of Jesus venerated her much less wrote about her in their epistles.”[3] This short statement is laden with perilous errors which could deceive the unthinking.
St. Elizabeth, the mother of the Precursor praised the mother of the Lord. She did so with a loud voice. Contrast this with the cold silence by which Mary is treated by Protestants like Armando Ang
First, what does Ang precisely mean by veneration? If by veneration means honor or respect,[4] only one who is biblically illiterate like Armando Ang can make the silly claim that none of Mary’s contemporaries, especially the disciples of Jesus, venerated her. St. Elizabeth was Mary’s contemporary and she certainly venerated the Mother of the Lord. And Elizabeth did so under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In a loud cry[5] she said, “Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord?” (Lk. 1:42-43, JB). If that is not veneration, I don’t know what is.
The angel Gabriel hailed Mary as "full of grace." Armando Ang's angels did not
Before St. Elizabeth, the angel Gabriel who was sent by God hailed Mary as “full of grace” or “highly favored” (Lk. 1:28). If an angel of God can so honor Mary, I don’t think why we ordinary mortals can’t.
More importantly, what Armando Ang does not know is that more than anyone of Mary’s contemporaries, the Lord Jesus Christ venerated or honored Mary, His very own mother. As the perfect Son, Our Lord perfectly obeyed the fourth commandment: “Honor thy father and thy mother” (Exo. 20:12; Dt. 5:16). Unlike Armando Ang, Jesus Christ fully knew and perfectly obeyed this commandment. In fact, the Lord even condemned the Corban rule as vain human tradition because it nullifies the commandment of God (Mk. 7:9-12).
Jesus, the perfect Son, perfectly honored His perfect mother Mary
It is clear, but not to Ang, that veneration of Mary started with Jesus Himself. Presbyterian convert to Catholicism Dr. Scott Hahn points out that “as a man, Christ fulfilled God’s law perfectly, including the commandment to honor one’s father and mother.” The Scripture scholar further notes that the “Hebrew word for honor, kabbed, literally means ‘to glorify.’ So Christ didn’t just honor His heavenly Father. He also perfectly honored His earthly mother, Mary, by bestowing His own divine glory upon her.”[6] Hahn clarifies that our veneration of Mary “is an essential part of our imitation of Christ. We follow Him not just by honoring our own mothers, but also by honoring whomever He honors – and with the same honor that He bestows.”[7]
With His dying breath, the Crucified Savior entrusted His mother to the Beloved Disciple
What about Christ’s disciples? Did they venerate Mary in any way? Of course they did! There were instances when Mary and Christ’s disciples were together – like in the wedding at Cana (Jn. 2:1-12) and at the foot of the cross in Calvary (Jn. 19:25-26). How else could the disciples of Jesus treat Mary but with respect? One of them, the Beloved Disciple, took Mary as his mother into his own home based on the words of the dying Savior (Jn. 19:27). As a son to a mother so did John honor Mary.
The Beloved Disciple honored the Blessed Virgin Mary as his mother. He took her into his own (Jn. 19:27). And so do Catholics
Mary was part of the apostolic community (Acts 1:14) because she was confided by Christ to His beloved disciple John (Jn. 19:26-27). The apostles expectedly honored Mary by treating her as a mother. This is in line with the apostle Paul‘s instruction to treat “the elder women as mothers” (1 Tim. 5:2). Catholics of today, like the apostles of yesterday, venerate Mary by treating her as their mother. We are thus in step with Jesus, St. Elizabeth and the apostles. Armando Ang is definitely not in league with them but with his father the devil (cf. Jn. 8:44).
St. Michael the Archangel vanquishing Armando Ang's father the devil

Catholic veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mary is anchored on her blessedness. For centuries, Catholics have fulfilled the prophecy of Mary herself that all generations shall call her blessed (Lk. 1:48). Generation after generation of Catholics honor Mary by calling her blessed unlike Protestants, Armando Ang included, who don’t.[8]
Another pathetic claim of Armando Ang is that none of Mary’s contemporaries and the disciples of Jesus wrote about her in their epistles. Matthew and John were two of the original apostles of the Lord and expectedly, they were also contemporaries of the Blessed Virgin Mary. They did not write any epistle but they wrote something more important – the Gospels (according to Matthew and John). Mary was mentioned significantly in the Matthean and the Johannine Gospels. Marian reference can be seen in John’s depiction of the “woman clothed with the sun” in Revelation 12:1. Mark and Luke were disciples of the apostles Peter and Paul, respectively, and they, too, wrote about Mary in their Gospels. Of all the Gospel writers, Luke wrote extensively on the Blessed Virgin Mary. He also mentioned Mary in his Acts of the Apostles (Acts 1:14).
"When the fullness of time has come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law" (Gal. 4:4)

Armando Ang’s ignoramus claim that none of the disciples of Jesus wrote about Mary in their epistles is refuted by Paul’s Epistle to the Galatians. In Galatians 4:4-5 we read: “But when the fullness of the time was come, God hath sent His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.” It takes monumental blindness for Armando Ang not to read that!

EXPOSING THE LIES AND DECEPTIONS OF ARMANDO ANG PART II

EXPOSING THE LIES AND DECEPTIONS OF ARMANDO ANG
PART II
Marwil N. Llasos, O.P.
ARMANDO ANG opens his anti-Catholic book “The Dark Side of Catholicism” with a letter to his “friends in Christ” – his intended readers, i.e., Catholics. With a seeming friendly gesture, Ang started by begging the “indulgence of all Catholics who feel offended by the title or its content.”[1]
The Dark Side of Catholicism: Armando Ang's anti-Catholic bestseller
What else is new? The allegations, attacks and accusations of Armando Ang are nothing new. Ang simply lifted from anti-Catholic polemicists and repackaged them with additional lies and absurd conclusions. What is more appalling in Ang’s version of anti-Catholicism is that it is laden with sheer ignorance and plain hypocrisy. In the succeeding articles, I will debunk Ang point by point, especially the first two chapters of his book which viciously attack Catholic teachings on the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Armando Ang justifies the title of his book that it “seems appropriate because very few know the dark side of their Church history to arrive at an informed decision.”[2] But what is Ang’s basis in concluding thusly? Does he have any statistics showing how “few” are these Catholics who do not know the “dark side” of their Church history? None. In short, Ang’s claims are utterly baseless and founded purely on guesswork.
Catholics are free to consult the history of their Church from readily available sources. Scholarly sources like The New Catholic Encyclopedia are available on-line (see: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/). Books, publications and journals on the history of the Church are extant. Catholics can read for themselves the history of the Church straight from primary sources.
Armando Ang says that it “is incumbent on every believer to know the truth and the truth shall make us free”[3] (citing Jn. 8:32). I fully concur with Ang in this regard. However, it seems that truth is the farthest consideration of Armando Ang in writing his magnum opus The Dark Side of Catholicism. The book is not concerned with the truth at all. It is replete with falsehood from cover to cover. To look for error in Ang’s book is like looking for sand on the beach.
Most of Armando Ang’s references cannot be verified. Ang heavily relies on anti-Catholic sources. He seldom, if at all, allows the Catholic Church to speak for itself. If ever Ang quotes a Church document, he does so by taking it out of context or twists its meaning and interprets it with prejudiced anti-Catholic mindset. In the succeeding articles, I will document how Armando Ang stifles the truth, covers it up and substitutes it with downright lies.
When Ang claims that he is after the truth, well, he does not walk the talk.
Armando Ang packages himself as a Bible Christian. But nothing can be farther from the truth. For instance, Ang holds that “[i]n seeking the truth there is no substitute for reading the Bible.”[4] This statement definitely lumps Ang with the Reformation “sola-scriptura” promoters. However, gauged against this man-made sola scriptura belief, Armando Ang would not be able to cite a single verse that says precisely “in seeking the truth there is no substitute for reading the Bible.”
Another scriptural blunder that Armando Ang makes is his statement that “[t]he Bible is the foundation of Christianity and it alone holds everything necessary for salvation”[5]a teaching nowhere claimed by Scripture. Noteworthy is the fact that Ang does not even bother to support his statement with verses from the Bible.
Truth to tell, the Bible never says that “the Bible is the foundation of Christianity.” That is an Ang-made dogma not supported by a single shred of scripture. Ang’s statement would seem that Christianity originates from the Bible and not the other way around. I wonder what happened to Ang’s history. What Armando Ang conveniently forgets is that the Church already existed long before there was a complete Bible!
To repeat, Ang’s teaching that “the Bible is the foundation of Christianity” is unscriptural and anti-Biblical. Nowhere in Sacred Scripture can we find that assertion. If Ang made his homework on the Bible, he would have easily ascertained that the word “foundation” is never - ever – applied to the Bible. To whom (or what) does the Bible apply the word “foundation”? First, of course, is Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:11 that “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”[6] How dare Armando Ang rob Christ of that honor!
The Lord Jesus Christ founded His Church on the rock that is Peter: And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Mt. 16:18).
The Lord Jesus Christ gives the keys to the apostle Peter
And to what else does the Bible ascribe the word “foundation”? To the apostles and prophets as categorically stated in Ephesians 2:20: “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”
Finally, Armando Ang must have also forgotten that the Bible itself calls the Church as “foundation.” According to the apostle Paul, if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth” (1 Tim. 3:15, NIV).
The Church: The Pillar and Foundation of Truth (1 Tim. 3:15)
Let me ask Armando Ang anew: where in the Bible does it say that the Bible is the foundation of Christianity? Chapter and verse, please, Mr. Ang.
If Armando Ang cannot give me a verse, then he is guilty as charged for teaching an un-biblical doctrine. What credibility does Ang still have to preach about the Bible when his teaching has been demonstrated to be anti-Biblical?
Armando Ang lies through his teeth when he says that “[n]othing in the book [The Dark Side of Catholicism] is written against the Catholics.”[7] If Ang’s book is not written against Catholics, then against whom? Muslims? Buddhists? Mormons? Atheists? Protestants? Baptists? Evangelicals?
What do you take us for, Mr. Ang? Your book is written against us Catholics – and no other. What makes it even more offensive to us is that it caricatures us and attacks the caricature it makes of us. Armando Ang passes off the caricature as though it is one and the same with the Catholic Church. Anent this, the words of Archbishop Fulton Sheen is apropos –
The Servant of God Archbishop Fulton Sheen
There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church – which is, of course, quite a different thing. These millions can hardly be blamed for hating Catholics because Catholics “adore statues;” because they “put the Blessed Mother on the same level with God;” because they “say indulgence is a permission to commit sin;” because the Pope “is a Fascist;” because the Church “is the defender of Capitalism.” If the Church taught or believed any one of these things, it should be hated, but the fact is that the Church does not believe nor teach any one of them. It follows then that the hatred of the millions is directed against error and not against truth. As a matter of fact, if we Catholics believed all of the untruths and lies which were said against the Church, we probably would hate the Church a thousand times more than they do.”[8]
Armando Ang pathetically claims that his book “is meant to enlighten them.”[9] No, Mr. Ang, your book is meant to deceive Catholics, especially the unwary. The Dark Side of Catholicism is nothing but a pack of brazen lies, heaped with fabrications and laced with innuendoes, speculations and accusations that are expertly woven so as to appear factual and veracious. And for how much do you sell your book?
A frustrated historian, Armando Ang unabashedly claims that “[u]nder the present circumstances, there is a shortage of reading materials regarding the evolution of the Catholic Church that each Catholic should know.”[10] What is Ang’s basis in saying so? None, as he does not even cite a single shred of evidence to prove it. Given his limited bibliography, Ang is unaware of the cornucopia of materials on Church History starting from St. Luke’s The Acts of Apostles, down to Eusebius’ Church History and so on to modern authors and historians, Catholics and non-Catholics alike. The Internet provides a limitless resource for Church History that is readily available to anyone. If there’s anyone who is ignorant about Church history, it is Armando Ang.
Armando Ang self-righteously claims that he “would be remiss as a Christian to keep the truth away from the faithful.”[11] The reality is that Ang does not only keep the truth away from the faithful; he distorts it. He is thus not only remiss; he is culpable. Thus, for Ang to use James 4:17[12] as a pretext for his falsehood is an abominable sacrilege – a gross abuse of God’s holy word.
"The Spirit of Truth ... will guide you into all the truth" (Jn. 16:13)
Armando Ang likewise asserts that there “are many teachings of early Catholic Church that have been contaminated by new doctrines that serve no salvation value.” But such an assertion can easily be made. What precisely are these teachings of the early Catholic Church that have been contaminated by new doctrines? Ang does not say. How were these teachings contaminated by new doctrines? Ang keeps us guessing. And what are these new doctrines that serve no salvation value? Ang does not point them out. Bottomline: you have to buy his book. What an effective sales pitch! I feel sorry for those who will buy and be deceived by Ang’s book.
Armando Ang states that the purpose of his book is to separate the truth from the myth. Well, he seems to have succeeded in doing so. He keeps the truth away and retains the myth against Catholicism and passes it off as Gospel truth – and sells it to the public. Ang’s book is a masterpiece of distortion of truth; a magnum opus of bearing false witness against one’s Catholic neighbor.
Jesus Christ remains with His Mystical Body, the Church
Armando Ang avers that the Church has enough saving grace to save Catholics.[13] But the appropriate statement is, the Church has the plenitude of grace from Christ Our Lord to save Catholics. It, too, has the fullness of truth – whether Armando Ang realizes or not. The Church has the promise from Christ that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Mt. 16:18). All hell and Armando Ang may try everything in their venal power to destroy the Church but they will never succeed. Jesus Christ promised us that that He will be with us always until the end of time (Mt. 28:20).
Hell and its cohorts attacking the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church
Finally, Armando Ang claims that his own children are devoted Catholics and ne has never tried to convince them to join another Church.[14] I have no way of verifying the veracity of this claim. But it is certain that Armando Ang does not have credibility even to his children. Otherwise, Ang’s children will join him in his new-found church if they see the quality of their father’s witness. Obviously, they don’t. And here is where Ang’s hypocrisy and inconsistency are painted in bold relief. Earlier he claimed that he would be remiss as a Christian to keep the truth away from the faithful and furthermore said that it is a sin not to do what you know is the right thing to do.[15] If Ang really believes that his devoted Catholic children are on the way to perdition because of their religion, why doesn’t he, as a good father, do the right thing to do to persuade his children by precept and example to leave the Catholic Church? Only Armando Ang can tell.

RESPONDING TO AN ANTI-MARY

RESPONDING TO AN ANTI-MARY

Onesiphorus

Onesiphorus said...

Why is there no recoil yet from Ang and his follower and defender Gerry Soliman?

Didn't Soliman boasts:

I'm just a simple apologist upholding the truths in the Bible. I know God is using me to be a blessing to others through the ministry of apologetics.

Which god is he referring to? Is it the one who did not incarnate in the immaculate womb of the Blessed Ever Virgin Mary? Isn't it for him and his fellow protesters and born against Mary that the Lord of Elizabeth is not God (cf Lk 1:43)? If the Lord Jesus Christ is not God to them during His embryonic stage (cf Heb 13:8), then what is their business calling themselves Christians?

What is he blabbing about being an apologetic? He's more of a plain and simple dialectic of Satan. What with his incessant humiliation of the Mother of God with his fallacious logic.

I hope and pray they'd all see their grievous errors of attacking the Mother Church where they'd all received their first faith and which they'd not only deserted but also backbit.

Didn't they know the one and only true God condemns the unfaithful:

having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith(cf 1 Tm 5:12, KJV).

Greetings, Onesiphorus!

I'm sure you'll be pleased to have your very first comment which is unfortunately from me. I was reading Atty. Llasos' blog and I came across your comment (http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=5249487892866557785&postID=4354452206862280018) stating this:

[Why is there no recoil yet from Ang and his follower and defender Gerry Soliman?]

I would like to inform you that I am no follower of Armando Ang and neither do I have read his book.

Now, you also said some terrible things about me being a plain and simple dialectic of Satan. I would like to suggest that you don't resort to ad hominems (I hope you what ad hominem means). True, some Protestants including myself are guilty of insulting their apologist opponents. But after realizing that making personal attacks to your opponents deprives the gospel of its dignity.

You may say that you're offended because I'm attacking Mary. Please note that it is your doctrines about Mary that I am attacking, not Mary herself. It's no different when we discuss the claims of Felix Manalo, Eli Soriano, Ellen White etc.

By the way, I hope your blog will not be a "copy and paste" of other articles. While we can do this from time to time, it's not good if it's done always. I sincerely hope you can make articles of your own.

Thank you and God bless.

RESPONDING TO AN ANTI-MARY

Onesiphorus

Greetings, Gerry Soliman!

I am sorry if I hurt your feelings.

I’m glad to learn straight from you that you are dropping Armando Ang.  I sincerely hope you are telling the truth otherwise you just earned the wrath of God (cf Rom 1:18):

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have spoken falsehood and have seen lying visions, therefore see! I am coming at you, says the Lord GOD.  (Ez 13:8).
You said, “Now, you also said some terrible things about me being a plain and simple dialectic of Satan.”

Have you not taken into account the countless terrible things you and your cohorts said about the Mother of God?  Compared to the Immaculate Conception, you and all anti-Mary are mere colony of maggots feasting on a putrefying carcass:

How much less man, who is but a maggot, the son of man, who is only a worm?  (Job 25:6).
If you are offended to be stigmatized as a plain and simple apologetic of Satan, then please stop acting like one.  I am begging you, for the sake of your soul, to cease and desist from excoriating the Mother of God and our dearly beloved Mother too.  If we faithful Catholics, who accepted and received the offered adoption of the Father through Mary (“Woman, behold, your son,” “Behold, your mother,” cf Jn 19:26-27), are hurting and vexed with all the slanders the antichrist and the anti-Mary dumped at Her, then how much more is Her one and only Child Jesus hurting and vexed?  If Jesus appears to you now, and you have the audacity to tell it to His face, “Jesus, your mother is a dirty woman,” will He not slice your soul into smithereens?  Or, “Hey, Jesus, your mom was deflowered by Joseph,” do you expect He will give you a high five and a big hug?  Are you so depraved as to forget your good manners and right conduct?  Align your mindset with the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16) and you will be surprised to come to learn how to love the Blessed Virgin Mary the way the eternal Lord and God love Her above all other creatures in heaven or on earth.  Be imitators of God (cf Eph 5:1) and of Christ (cf 1 Cor 11:1) who love the Blessed Virgin Mary from eternity to eternity (cf 1 Jn 4:8, 16).

Why don’t you use your talent given to you by God in the defense of His Mother against Satan and his offspring instead of using it in attacking Her and siding with Satan making yourself one of his offspring (cf Gen 3:15) and alienating yourself from God?

If you hate the Catholic Church to the core, that’s your misfortune, but please spare the Blessed Virgin Mary from all your tirade against the great things God had done to Her (cf Lk 1:49) of which you don’t understand and therefore you can’t accept.  What has She done to you to merit your ire?  Even Satan who occupies the nadir of God’s thought was not condemned by the archangel Michael, whose supernatural and preternatural wisdom is infinitely superior to yours, and yet here you are condemning the Mother of God who alone occupies the zenith of God’s thought.  She is the Mother of God and She is in heaven besides Her Son, our Lord and God Jesus Christ.  She is the most blessed among women (cf Lk 1:42) and the most glorious among heavenly glories and yet you have the effrontery to bring an abusive condemnation against Her.  Let me refresh your memory a little bit:

Now I want to remind you, though you were fully informed once for all, that though the Lord [at one time] delivered a people out of the land of Egypt, He subsequently destroyed those [of them] who did not believe [who refused to adhere to, trust in, and rely upon Him].  And angels who did not keep (care for, guard, and hold to) their own first place of power but abandoned their proper dwelling place – these He has reserved in custody in eternal chains (bonds) under the thick gloom of utter darkness until the judgment and doom of the great day.  [The wicked are sentenced to suffer] just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the adjacent towns – which likewise gave themselves over to impurity and indulged in unnatural vice and sensual perversity – are laid out [in plain sight] as an exhibit of perpetual punishment [to warn] of everlasting fire.  [Gen 19.]  Nevertheless in like manner, these dreamers also corrupt the body, scorn and reject authority and government, and revile and libel and scoff at [heavenly] glories (the glorious ones.)  But when [even] the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, judicially argued (disputed) about the body of Moses, he dared not [presume to] bring an abusive condemnation against him, but [simply] said, The Lord rebuke you!  [Zech. 3:2.]  But these men revile (scoff and sneer at) anything they do not happen to be acquainted with and do not understand; and whatever they do understand physically [that which they know by mere instinct], like irrational beasts – by these they corrupt themselves and are destroyed (perish).  (Jd 1:5-10, Amplified Bible).
Do you think in your wildest presumption that the Divine Judge Jesus Christ (cf Jas 5:8-9) will just sit idly by while you lambaste His Mother and not avenge the Woman who gave Him His holy and immaculate flesh and blood with which He used to cleanse mankind from all sins (cf 1 Jn 1:7; Rev 1:5) and to acquire His Church (cf Act 20:28)?  Think again and think harder, ruminate with all your might, and be honest with yourself.  You are misled because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God (cf Mt 22:29).  The Blessed Virgin Mary is the supreme believer of God and of Her Son Jesus Christ (cf Lk 1:46-47) and yet you have condemned Her, unmindful of the impending wrath of Her vengeful Son, Who is both our Judge and our Executioner:

So why do you condemn another believer?  Why do you look down on another believer?  Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.  For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.’”  Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.  So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.  (Rom 14:10-13, NLT).
LORD, avenging God, avenging God, shine forth!  Rise up, judge of the earth; give the proud what they deserve.  How long, LORD, shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked glory?  How long will they mouth haughty speeches, go on boasting, all these evildoers?  They crush your people, LORD, torment your very own.  They kill the widow and alien; the fatherless they murder.  They say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob takes no notice."  Understand, you stupid people! You fools, when will you be wise?  Does the one who shaped the ear not hear?  The one who formed the eye not see?  Does the one who guides nations not rebuke?  The one who teaches humans not have knowledge?  The LORD does know human plans; they are only puffs of air.  (Ps 94:1-11).
A jealous and avenging God is the LORD, an avenger is the LORD, and angry; The LORD brings vengeance on his adversaries, and lays up wrath for his enemies; The LORD is slow to anger, yet great in power, and the LORD never leaves the guilty unpunished.  In hurricane and tempest is his path, and clouds are the dust at his feet; He rebukes the sea and leaves it dry, and all the rivers he dries up.  Withered are Bashan and Carmel, and the bloom of Lebanon fades; The mountains quake before him, and the hills dissolve; The earth is laid waste before him, the world and all who dwell in it.  Before his wrath, who can stand firm, and who can face his blazing anger?  His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are rent asunder before him.  (Nah 1:2-6).
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one (Jesus Christ) who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.  (Mt 10:28).
Indeed the soul of man shall die:

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.  (Ez 18:4, KJV)
Are you wondering how the Lord Jesus Christ can destroy the immortal soul?  Here’s how: God created all things through the Lord Jesus Christ (cf Col 1:16; Heb 1:2), and He (Jesus) is the One Who breathed into all newly formed human body a quickening soul, and infused a vital spirit (cf Wis 15:11).

[Spur-of-the-moment insight: The RH bill is anti-God because it will deprive the Creator of a human body in which to breathe a soul and infuse a spirit to enliven it in order to populate not only earth temporarily but especially heaven for eternity, provided if the same soul is found blameless at the end of its life.  If the RH bill is trashed, Heaven will be surely inhabited predominantly by just Filipino souls forever in eternity.]
Truly, all human beings have spirit, body and soul and Paul admonished us all to preserve it blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (cf 1 Thes 5:23).  Condemning the Mother of God will make one’s spirit, body and soul blamable:

"You brood of vipers, how can you say good things when you are evil? For from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.  A good person brings forth good out of a store of goodness, but an evil person brings forth evil out of a store of evil.  I tell you, on the day of judgment people will render an account for every careless word they speak.  By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."  (Mt 12:34-37).

In time of death, the Word of God aka Jesus Christ (cf Jn 1:1; Rev 19:13) alone can separate what He Himself breathed and infused at the beginning of life.  The Lord and God Jesus Christ alone have the power to separate the infused vital spirit from the quickening soul, thereby destroying the soul:

HEB 4:12 Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.
The mind boggles at what end the slanderers and condemners of the Mother of the Executioner are hoping to achieve.  Are they toying with their souls?  Are they not forewarned Satan is waiting to devour their haughty souls?

1 P 5:5 Likewise, you younger members, be subject to the presbyters. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for: "God opposes the proud but bestows favor on the humble."  5:6 So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.  5:7 Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.  5:8 Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for (someone) to devour.  5:9 Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same sufferings.  5:10 The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ (Jesus) will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little.  5:11 To him be dominion forever. Amen.
Be very afraid of the Lord Jesus Christ – the one and only Soul Executioner.  Fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom (cf Ps 111:10).  Fear God now and the spirit of deceit (cf 1 Tm 4:1; 1 Jn 4:6) possessing your soul will be expelled and you will be given the Spirit of Truth (cf Jn 14:17; 15:26; 16:13) to discern the true God and His true Mother (cf 1 Jn 5:20).  Do not slander the Mother of God.  Slanderers will not inherit the kingdom of God (cf 1 Cor 6:10).  Slandering Mary is slandering our Lord and our God Jesus Christ – thine own mother’s son:

Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.  Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.  These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.  Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.  (Ps 50:19-22, KJV).
You said, “You may say that you're offended because I'm attacking Mary. Please note that it is your doctrines about Mary that I am attacking, not Mary herself.”

Please spare the all-knowing God (cf 1 Sam 2:3), who knows the heart (cf 1 Kgs 8:39; Ps 33:15; Heb 4:12), with your putrid crap which is no different from the putrid crap of the antichrist, deniers of the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ, who dumps Jesus the way you dump Mary: “We are not attacking Jesus himself, only your doctrines making him God.”  Deniers of the true Jesus Christ and the true Mary, the antichrist and the anti-Mary, respectively, are just two sides of the coin of Satan.

You also said, “I would like to suggest that you don't resort to ad hominems (I hope you what ad hominem means).”

I am sorry if the Latin phrase ad hominem is Greek to me because in terms of intellect I am just a David as compared to your Goliath knowledge or a dime as compared to your nickel.  I am just a plain and simple childlike (Lk 10:21; Mt 11:25) and count for nothing (1 Cor 1:26-29).

Is ad hominem something like this, "The Lord rebuke your arguments slandering Mary?"  I think I’d rather subscribe to the angelic tradition and imitate the archangel Michael who is not hooked on your human wisdom of ad hominem either, so, "The Lord rebuke you for slandering Mary!"

And finally, you said, “By the way, I hope your blog will not be a "copy and paste" of other articles.”

Oh no, you don’t dictate on me, I will go on and “copy and paste” other articles especially those exposing your false teachings and your satanic dialectics in my bid to save those deceived and proselytized by you and your ilk – the “superapostles (cf 2 Cor 11:5; 12:11)” of Satan.

Our Lord and God Jesus Christ said:

I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.  This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.  (Jn 13:34-35).
And so, in compliance with the commandment of our Lord and God Jesus Christ, I daresay, I love you Gerry Soliman and all the misled in the world.  And I, a mere servant of all slaves of God and apostles of Jesus Christ (cf Ti 1:1) and all Catholic Apologetics around the world, in my little way, will contribute in wrenching your souls free, provided you cooperate with your own free will, from the deadly grips of Satan, even if it is to grapple with the devil himself, by means of enlightening you with the truth of God.  It may be a quixotic quest, but just the same I will give it my best shot.

Thank you and may the Lord rebuke Satan and all his children – the antichrist and anti-Mary who insatiably drags souls into hell.

May the Lord God bless all His children.

Amen.
